Felix Hernandez or King Felix as the nickname goes has been special. He currently sits at the top of the American League in Wins with 11 and is 2nd in Earned Run Average (ERA) with 2.45. He is also 4th in Strikeouts with 137, 3rd in Innings Pitched with 139.2, and hes given up a measly 38 runs all year. Not to mention his 2 hit shutout gem that he threw on June 16th in San Diego. The King has taken his throne.
Hitting:

Russell Branyan BA: .274 HR: 24 RBI: 54 OBP: .373 SLG: .568
Has been as good a free agent pickup that the Mariners brought in the last few season with a line like this...I always knew he was capable of this production, he just needed a regular job.
Franklin Gutierrez BA: .294 HR: 12 RBI: 42 OBP: .354
Gutierrez has been a solid bat and his Glove has been even better. I expect him to be a fixture in Center Field for years to come.
Ichiro Suzuki BA: .357 Hits: 135 2B: 20 HR: 6 SB: 21 OBP: .390
Ichiro has continued his marquee great hitting, but has also upped the power this year with 6 Homers and 20 Doubles.
Jose Lopez BA: .265 HR: 12 RBI: 52 2B: 22
Some would say Lopez has not met expectations, but maybe those expectations were just a little too high, he still has had a fine season and as always plays great defense in the middle of the field.
Pitching:

David Aardsma ERA: 1.79 SV: 23 WHIP: 1.15
This Closer has been exactly that, with only 2 Blown Saves on the year, I expect this man to be the closer for a while here in Seatown.
Jarrod Washburn ERA: 2.87 W-L: 7-6 IP: 119.0 SO: 75
Washburn has been excellent this year, despite the poor run support, he has been All-Star caliber, currently #5 in ERA for the AL.
Erik Bedard ERA: 2.70 W-L: 5-2 IP: 80.0 SO: 84 WHIP: 1.16
When Healthy (which is not often) Bedard has lived up to his expectations of a reliable starter, however there is no way on Gods green earth that i would call the acquisition of Bedard a Good Idea, this trade will be listed as one of the worst in franchise history.
If anything can be learned from this season, it is that the Mariners are far more successful when they are frugal and try to find Gems in the rough. Big Marquee Free Agents only disappoint. We have a grand total of $98,904,166 in Salary this season:
